From an idea to reality in a short amount of time in any industry requires great partnership and teamwork. William Byron eSports driver Matt Bussa had an idea a few weeks ago, which led to conversations and collaboration, and here we are launching the William Byron eSports Bracket Challenge presented by Logitech G.
Matt has been iRacing since 2009 and competing in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series since 2013. The 28-year-old Naperville, IL driver joined William Byron Racing for the 2023 season.
When asked what sparked the idea, this is what Matt had to say:
“The idea came about after Denny (Hamlin) launched the bracket challenge for the (NASCAR) Cup Series. I am always looking for new ways to help the (Coca-Cola iRacing) series grow and engage with fans. This felt like the perfect way. An eNASCAR bracket challenge is an exciting way to become more engaged with the races as fans cheer for their drivers to advance.”
And who better to collaborate with than William Byron eSports and eNASCAR partner Logitech G! Our friends at Logitech G brainstormed with us on how to make this happen, worked with us to bring it to life and contributed some amazing prizes. The people at Logitech G are passionate about developing the best tools for gamers, streamers and creators.
The William Byron eSports Bracket Challenge presented by Logitech G launched on June 22, 2023, and entries can be submitted up until the green flag at 9 pm ET on Tuesday, July 27, 2023. At that time the entry portal will close, and we’ll be tracking the drivers and the bracket point leaders.
The William Byron eSports Bracket Challenge Schedule and Points Awarded Per Each
Correct Winner Selection
June 27, 2023 – Chicago Street Course – 10 points
July 11, 2023 – Nashville Superspeedway – 20 points
July 25, 2023 – New Hampshire Motor Speedway – 40 points
August 1, 2023 – Pocono Raceway – 80 points
August 15, 2023 – Michigan International Speedway – 160 points
*Each race begins at 9 pm ET
At the conclusion of the race at Michigan, points will be tallied and one (1) Grand Prize Winner, two (2) Runner Up prize winners, and seven (7) Finalist prize winners will be selected and notified by the email provided at registration.
